- Chem4Kids Offers an introduction to the science of chemistry. The language is easier to understand than most textbooks, and useful charts and pictures are included to supplement the content.
- ScienceNewsforKids This site offers timely, interesting news stories and features, accompanied by suggestions for hands-on activities, books, articles, and web resources.
- Explore Learning This
website contains online simulations for an assortment of topics in the fields
of math and science. Many of the
interactive simulations provide experiences that couldn’t
ordinarily be included in the classroom.
The simulations are very realistic and focused on data collection and
interpretation. This is a subscription website, but a 30 day free trial is offered.
- Brain Pop Intended
to supplement the curriculum, Brain POP offers entertaining, animated tutorials
for a range of subjects and grade levels.
The cartoons are engaging and do a good job of making difficult concepts
less complicated and easy to understand. This is a subscription website, but a free trial is offered, and there are some resources available without a subscription.
