Master of Arts in Educational Technology: Coursework Summary
CEP 810: Teaching for Understanding With Computers, Instructor: S. Way, Fall 2007
- The focus for CEP 810 was to improve teaching through technology use. This course consisted of two parallel strands: effective use of technology in education, and learning issues related to technology use. In this course, I learned important features of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and the Internet. The assignments I completed enabled me to apply my learning to immediate application in my own classroom.

CEP 800: Learning in School and Other Settings, Instructor: L. Wolf, Fall 2008
- This course acquainted me with several major psychological perspectives for appreciating learning that goes on in school and other settings. I connected theories of learning to my own experiences as a learner - inside this course, in other courses, on the job, and in other settings. By constantly examining the relationship between the ideas about learning introduced in this course and the learning situations in my world outside of this course, I found greater meaning and significance in both. I considered implications of these perspectives for practice, particularly the practice in my field.
